Your Billing & Usage page gives you a clear view of your subscription, including resources, usage, and any additional charges. Here is how the different parts of your billing work and where to look when you want to understand a charge.
You can find your billing information from:
Settings → Billing
From there, you can review your billing history, Pay As You Go usage, add-ons, and manage your subscription.
You can also use Manage Billing to open the Stripe Billing Portal, where you can manage payment methods, billing information, invoices, and other subscription details.
Your Skippz subscription includes a set amount of resources based on your plan. Each resource is used for a different part of your Skippz account.
Storage — Used to store the videos you upload to Skippz. Your storage limit determines how much video content you can keep in your account.
Example: With our Professional Plan, you get 500 GB of storage, allowing you to upload up to 500 GB of video
Bandwidth — Used when your videos are delivered and played by viewers. Every time your videos are watched, the video data delivered to viewers uses bandwidth.
Example: With our Professional Plan, you get 1 TB of bandwidth, allowing you to deliver up to 1 TB of video content to your viewers.
AI Credits — Used for AI-powered features such as Caption Generation, Chapter Generation, and AI Voice Localization. Using these features consumes AI Credits from your available balance.
Example: With our Professional Plan, you get 30 AI Credits, allowing you to use AI-powered features such as Caption Generation, Chapter Generation, and AI Voice Localization. Each use consumes AI Credits from your available balance.
Seats — Determine how many team members can access your Skippz account. Each seat represents one user who can be added as a team member and given access to the account.
Example: With our Professional Plan, you get 5 seats, allowing you to add up to 5 team members to your Skippz account and give them access.
Workspaces — Determine how many separate workspaces you can create and manage within your account. Workspaces can be used to organize content, teams, and projects separately.
Example: With our Professional Plan, you get 2 workspaces, allowing you to create and manage up to 2 separate workspaces for organizing your content, teams, and videos.
For a detailed explanation of these resources, see What Is Included in a Skippz Subscription?
Storage measures how many videos you currently have stored on Skippz.
For example, if your subscription includes 515 GB of storage and you have 12.7 GB of content stored, you are using 12.7 GB of your included storage.
If your stored videos go beyond your included storage, the additional storage is handled through a Storage Add-on.
Storage is different from bandwidth because it does not simply reset when your billing period starts again.
See Understanding Your Storage Usage to learn how storage is calculated and managed.
Bandwidth measures the data delivered when your videos are played or otherwise accessed.
For example, if your subscription includes 1TB of bandwidth, video playback consumes that included bandwidth as viewers watch your videos.
Once your included bandwidth has been used, additional bandwidth can be handled through Pay As You Go, provided Pay As You Go is enabled.
See Understanding Your Bandwidth Usage for more information.
Pay As You Go allows eligible usage to continue even after you have used your included bandwidth .
For bandwidth, additional usage is charged from your Skippz Wallet.
For example:
Your plan includes 200 GB of bandwidth. You use all 200 GB during your billing period and receive another 10 GB of video traffic. That additional 10 GB is charged through Pay As You Go.
Pay As You Go applies differently to different resources. Bandwidth overages use your Wallet, while storage overages are handled through Storage Add-ons.
See How Pay As You Go Usage Works for a complete walkthrough.
Your usage information helps you see how much of your included resources you have consumed during the current billing period.
Depending on the resource, you see values such as:
Included
Used
Remaining
Additional usage
General View
Workspace View
Use these figures to understand how close you are to your included limits and whether additional charges may apply.
See Understanding Your Usage Dashboard for a walkthrough of the usage information shown in Skippz.
Additional charges can come from several places, including:
Pay As You Go bandwidth
Storage Add-ons
Workspace Add-ons
Member Add-ons
Spotlight Add-ons
AI credit purchases
If you see an additional amount on your billing history or invoice, check the corresponding usage or add-on information to understand where it came from.
See Why Did I Receive an Additional Usage Charge? if you need help checking an unexpected charge.
Your usage is tracked according to your billing cycle.
Bandwidth usage is associated with the current billing period and resets when the next billing period begins.
Storage works differently because it represents the content currently stored in your account.
Your billing date and next billing date can be viewed from your billing information.
See When Does My Usage Reset? to understand how different resources behave between billing periods.
Your Billing History lets you review previous billing activity.
You may see payments for:
Your subscription
Plan changes
AI Credit purchases
Add-ons
You can open the relevant invoice to see the individual charges included in the payment.
See Invoices, Receipts and Billing History for more information.
If your bill is higher than expected, start by checking these areas:
Your current subscription.
Your storage usage.
Your bandwidth usage.
Your Pay As You Go usage.
Your active add-ons.
Your billing history and invoice.
This will help you identify whether the amount came from your regular subscription or from additional usage or services.
