Your Skippz plan includes a set amount of bandwidth for each billing period. When your account uses more than that included amount, the additional bandwidth can be charged through Pay As You Go.
This article explains when additional bandwidth starts, how it is calculated, and what happens when your billing period resets.
Additional bandwidth starts when your account uses all of the bandwidth included in your plan during the current billing period.
For example:
Your plan includes 200 GB of bandwidth
Your account uses 200 GB → included bandwidth is fully used
Your account uses another 25 GB → 25 GB becomes additional bandwidth
Pay As You Go must be enabled and your Wallet must have available funds for additional bandwidth to be used and charged.
Skippz tracks the bandwidth used to deliver your videos to viewers.
For example:
250 GB bandwidth used
200 GB included
50 GB additional bandwidth
The 50 GB of additional bandwidth is charged at the applicable Pay As You Go bandwidth rate for your plan.
Bandwidth is used when video content is delivered to viewers.
Common examples include:
Watching a video
Repeated playback of a video
Videos embedded on other websites
Increased traffic to your videos
Higher video traffic from a larger audience
Your storage usage and bandwidth usage are separate. Uploading and storing a video uses storage, while delivering that video to viewers uses bandwidth.
Additional bandwidth is paid using your Skippz Wallet when Pay As You Go is enabled.
Your Wallet can be topped up with:
$5
$10
$20
A custom amount
Wallet funds are used for eligible additional bandwidth charges.
Storage overages work differently. Additional storage is billed as a Storage Add-on and is not deducted from your Wallet.
If your included bandwidth has already been used and your Wallet has no funds available for additional bandwidth, videos that require additional bandwidth may not play for viewers.
Other Skippz functionality remains available.
If you still have included bandwidth remaining, having a $0 Wallet does not affect your included bandwidth.
Your included bandwidth resets when your next billing period begins.
For example, if your plan includes 200 GB per billing period:
You use 180 GB this period
Your billing period ends
The new billing period begins with your included bandwidth available again
Unused included bandwidth does not carry over to the next billing period.
Your account's bandwidth is calculated at the account level. You can view usage in the General account-wide view or organize the view by workspace, but workspaces do not each receive their own separate bandwidth allowance.
