Your storage is used for the videos you upload and keep in your Skippz account. Your subscription includes a specific amount of storage, and your current usage changes as you add or remove videos.
Videos uploaded to your Skippz account use storage.
For example, if your plan includes 515 GB of storage and the videos in your account use 12.7 GB, your current storage usage is 12.7 GB.
Storage is based on the videos currently stored in your account, so uploading more videos increases your usage, while removing videos can reduce it.
Skippz measures the storage used by the video files stored in your account.
For example:
Your plan includes 100 GB.
You have uploaded videos using 80 GB.
Your storage usage is 80 GB.
You have 20 GB of included storage remaining.
If you upload another 30 GB of videos, your total stored video becomes 110 GB.
In this case, you have exceeded 100 GB included with your subscription. If you want to continue storing the additional 10 GB, you’ll need to purchase a storage add on.
Reaching your included storage limit does not work the same way as reaching your bandwidth limit.
When your uploaded videos exceed the storage included with your plan, the excess storage is handled through a Storage Add-on.
For example:
Your plan includes 100 GB of storage. You are currently using 95 GB and upload another 20 GB of videos. Your total usage becomes 115 GB, meaning 15 GB is above your included storage.
The additional storage is added to your billing rather than being deducted from your Skippz Wallet.
See How Additional Storage Is Calculated and Billed to learn how these charges work.
Yes, but you need to permanently delete the videos from the Trash for storage to be freed.
Storage represents the video content currently stored in your account.
When you delete videos, they may remain in the Trash and continue to count toward your storage usage until they are permanently deleted.
For example: If you are using 120 GB and delete videos totaling 30 GB, your storage usage will become 90 GB once those videos are permanently deleted from the Trash.
No.Storage is based on what is currently stored in your Skippz account. It does not automatically reset when a new billing period begins.
For example, if you have 120 GB of videos stored at the end of your billing period, those videos remain stored when your next billing period begins. Your storage usage therefore continues based on those videos.
This is different from resources such as included bandwidth, which are associated with your billing cycle.
See When Does My Usage Reset? for more information.
You can check your current storage usage from your Skippz usage information.
01. Click on the Usage icon in the bottom-left corner.
02.Then, you can see the Usage Overview page, which displays information such as your current usage of storage and usage history of storage.
Use your storage usage to see:
How much storage your plan includes
How much storage your videos currently use
How much included storage remains
Add-on , whether you are using storage beyond your included amoun
Keeping an eye on your storage can help you identify when you may need to remove unused videos, add additional storage, or change your plan.
Your included storage changes when your new plan takes effect.
When upgrading, your new plan may provide enough included storage to cover your existing video library. If it does, an existing Storage Add-on may no longer be required.
When downgrading, Skippz checks your actual storage usage against the storage included in the new plan. If your videos use more storage than the new plan includes, the excess is handled as a Storage Add-on downgrading account per storage price rate .
See What Happens to My Resources When I Downgrade? for more information.
It is important not to confuse storage with bandwidth.
Storage is the space your uploaded videos occupy in Skippz.
Bandwidth is the data delivered when those videos are watched or accessed.
For example, uploading a 5 GB video uses 5 GB of storage. If viewers watch that video, the data delivered to those viewers uses bandwidth.
Your storage usage and bandwidth usage are therefore tracked separately.
